Marigolds

People seem to either love this plant or hate it. Even though it gives great color, holds up to heat well, and gives a lot of color for a small cost, some people believe they are too old fashioned. I'm not one of those people; I think Marigolds are great.

The African or American types are taller and grow from 1 to 3 feet depending on the variety. The French type is much smaller only 6 inches to about a foot. Their color range tends toward orange and yellow. There are also some nice two tones.
