Fuchsia

Fuchsia is a beautiful plant that can be difficult to grow unless you have the correct type of location. It does best in warm weather, but not over about 80 degrees. It does best with light shade for most of the day and will do very poorly in full sun or a hot southern exposure. It also needs some protection from strong winds. If the plant is in a hanging basket, it's wise to set the plant down in a protected location on windy days.

The ideal placement is on an eastern exposure where it begins to get some shade by about eleven o'clock in the morning. Keep the soil evenly moist for best results. If the plants dry out completely, they will lose some of their leaves and stop flowering for a week or so.

The plants we offer are hanging type plants that do best in some type of container.
