Alyssum

Alyssum, or more correctly Sweet Alyssum is a low growing plant that is often used for edging. This is a plant that prefers slightly cooler temperatures so in our climate it helps to place it in an area that gets partial shade. It also grows best where the soil is well drained, but is not allowed to dry out excessively. It's not considered drought tolerant.

Modern varieties have better flowering than some of the old types, but if blooming decreases in the heat, it will increase again as the night time temperatures cool a bit.
